My Story

I’ve been a B2B marketer my entire career, spanning 25 years and multiple industries, from IT hardware and software, to telecommunications and most recently professional services. My expertise is in strategy and planning, and creating powerful multi-channel, multi-format marketing programmes and campaigns that help organisations engage meaningfully with their customers. I’m also passionate about working with the next generation of marketers to ensure they possess the marketing fundamentals as well as the current skills necessary to excel no matter the context of their commercial environment.

I’m a former double winner in the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s prestigious annual Marketing Excellence Awards – the coveted overall Marketer of the Year as well as the Professional Services Campaign of the Year.

I wrote my book – B2B Marketing Strategy: differentiate, develop and deliver lasting customer engagement – in response to the on-going challenges that I continue to see across the B2B marketing landscape. I’m really proud that it’s been so well received, and that it’s been adopted as the main text for the B2B marketing module in the MBA programme at the University of Southern California, where I’ve also guest-lectured.

I’m a member of the Business Marketing Club, an industry body driving the development of B2B marketing across the UK. I contribute to industry journals in print and online, and comment on B2B marketing-related topics in my blog, on Twitter @TaylorMadeInKew and on LinkedIn.
